The pre-separator suitable for the algae-free pond sludge vacuum cleaner 8m3 separates stones, heavy leaves, newts, fish and frogs during pond cleaning. Depending on the pond bottom, you select the appropriate nozzles or brushes for extracting the sediments and are inter-coupled to the sludge suction unit on the suction side.
How does a pre-separator work?
The pre-separator collects this material, so it does not pass through the pond vacuum cleaner. The animals and possibly also stones can be removed again and returned to the pond. The separation works by gravity which means that suspended particles dissolved in the water are completely passed through while heavier particles remain in the pre-separator buoy.
The pre-separator is supplied with a sponge plate, which can optionally be used in some suction applications. This can be very helpful e.g. in autumn with freshly fallen leaves around the water then coarsely filtered back into the pond. In principle, however, the pre-separator is not suitable for filtering and is used without the sponge insert. If you really want to return the cleaned pond water to the pond, you need a separate filtering instrument.
