Great amount of economic damage occur in green houses at nurseries and plant breeders due to algae.
They affect negatively on the water quality, reduce the radiation of light as they settle themselves on glass surfaces, they soil or clog the filters and grow as dead biomass, the so called bio-film, a mucous deposit which creates a big problem as breeding ground for germs and pathogens.

Several plant diseases are caused due to germs and bacteria found in water. For example, Dutch and Belgian plant breeder fight against the Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus with chemicals. In many cases, the UV disinfection is used with the help of ultraviolet light source (UV). The results with UV in connection with the ultrasound are by far successful as individual systems. An example for this would be the obvious high performance, with lesser consumption of electricity, by UV with ultrasound. The reason for this is the increased monitoring of the water treatment with Ultrasound. The optimum results within the scope of water treatment are achieved with UV and Ultrasound, AquaSonic and BioSonic .
